My Priorities on Hamilton City Council

I'm standing for Hamilton City Council because I believe in practical, people-focused leadership. Here’s what I’ll prioritise if elected:

Financial Prudence

Hamilton families are feeling the pressure of rising rates and growing council debt. We need smart spending and long-term thinking.

• Keep rates affordable by cutting waste and focusing on core services

• Scrutinise Council’s financial direction, the new water Council Controlled Organisation (CCO) and any additional CCOs

• Push for greater transparency and accountability

Smarter Streets, Not More Speedbumps

Streets should be safe, practical, and easy to navigate. I’ve heard from residents who are frustrated with excessive speedbumps and in-lane bus stops that create more problems than they solve.

• No more unnecessary speedbumps

• Rethink in-lane bus stops that cause traffic delays

• Support solutions that genuinely improve safety and flow

Revitalising the CBD: 2 Hours Free Parking

Our central city should be a vibrant, welcoming place for everyone. Let’s make it easier to visit and support local.

• Bring back 2 hours free parking in the CBD

• Support local businesses and community events

• Create a city centre that works for people
